WELL, the game is F'ing awesome. It has Tom's approval, which means something

Very engaging single player. The best single player campaign I've played in an RTS. It's also extra good if you played the first one. The multiplayer, well I already knew it was bad ass from the beta. Lots of strategies involved. Loving it!

It does indeed have my approval! Things I love about it:

1) Economy and base building, and the extra strategy that comes with it
2) Your low tier units never become obselete. One thing that always annoyed me in CNC was that you never had a use for half the units once another unit or upgrade was available. Not so at all in SC2. That big F-ing thing that just beat the shit out of you may very well be susceptible to your cheapest quick melée unit in a small but still relatively cheap mass!
3) On that same note, properly countering your enemy's units is very important! If you use a poorly suited unit or mix of units, you will get beat every time, especially by someone who micros quickly and queues attack orders to focus their units' fire on the proper targets.
4)Each race is very different in how they operate. You must plan your strategy around their inherrent strengths and weaknesses.
5) Although I'm not very far yet, the campaign is DEFINITELY not an afterthought like some RTS games seem to be. Lots of attention to detail and a good story so far. Having never played the first one, I wasn't sure what to expect.
5) All of you guys have or will have it, which is awesome. I like it so much, I even bought Demon a copy!
